Why Blendy?
Blendy VJ is a tool aimed for experienced users (like VJs), and uses the Syphon framework to stand between any Syphon-enabled player (like Modul8) and the projection mapping tool (like MadMapper). Syphon is based on a revolutionary technology called IOSurface, available only on Mac OS X 10.6 (and above), which allows graphic applications to share textures in the graphics card, with near to zero overhead.

Pedro Zaz of UnitedVJs and Ilan Katin team up again for this second MadMapper workshop in Berlin. They have hosted one back in August 2011. People came from all over Europe and they even had someone come all the way from Korea!
The focus will be how to use MadMapper using the Syphon enabled VJ software of your choice. We also demonstrate how to use the Spacial Scanner, MAD_lab tools and provide technical/creative feedback.

United VJs won a prize in Austria for the TOWERdome Festival
The jury was the audience by voting the shows giving 0 to 5 points, 5 for best.This votes were thrown into a box, the points were counted and summed up by the organizers and finally the show with the highest number of points was the winner.
It was the second time this year they were awarded in a Fulldome industry event (digital planetariums). Have a look at the other prize earlier this year here.
